I feel like a super nerd right now, since I spent a second day writing. Yes, I have roughly spent a full two days writing my story. Did I mention how obsessive I can get when I begin to focus on certain things?
HOWEVER, tomorrow (Saturday) I have promised myself that it is officially the weekend and I must actually leave my cocoon of words and enter Korea again! I'm definitely going to go to Hongdae tomorrow, rain or sunshine. So, I'm actually really excited about it! My hand is seriously hurting right now since I have been hand writing my entire story. With all the things I've written, I never really use the computer to type out stories or thoughts. I feel like I'm somehow lying to myself when I type, but when I hand write things, it's in my writing... so somehow it's more real to me. I don't know.
Something slightly upsetting happened today. I got an email from FACES modeling asking me to be the photographer for their first photo shoot of the year! Which is exciting... except I'm in South Korea right now. It just drives home the fact that I'm not having any photo shoots and how badly my hands are itching to use my camera for fashion. I'm not even sure how to find people here that would be interested in modeling for a photo shoot and I feel kinda creepy asking the people that I do know, since I don't know that many people right now. It makes me sad thinking I could be having a photo shoot... but don't get me wrong, I'm really happy I'm in Korea! I'm just itching for a photo shoot and my prospects here are unknown to me right now.
Lastly, since I've been writing so much lately, I've been listening to music and have compiled a list of songs that have become my favorites! I've thought about making an 8tracks account, but then went against it for now. Perhaps that can happen another time... However, for now I'll just list the songs and hope someone will actually look them up (because they're all really awesome). These songs don't all pertain to my story, they've just been on repeat while I write. Also, my sister (who does have an 8tracks account) makes awesome mixes that I've been cycling through. My favorites are Easy is the Descent, All of Time and Space, and The Weight of Water. Anyway, here's my top 10 as of late:
1. Devil's Backbone - The Civil Wars
2. Corbeau - Coeur De Pirate
3. Dark Tower - Miniature Tigers
4. One Red Thread - Blind Pilot
5. The Lonely - Christina Perri
6. Lay in a Shimmer - Pantha Du Prince
7. Taeuschungs-Blume - Dominik Eulberg
8. Kveikur - Sigur Ros
9. Concrete Wall - Zee Avi
10. Back to Black - Beyonce ft. Andre 3000
