Metroparks Zoo 2013

My mom and I went to our local zoo on Tuesday of this week. I love taking pictures at the zoo since there are so many animals and chances to capture them in a semi-natural (kinda natural...) habitat. I always look for situations where animals are interacting with each other or when they are doing their own thing, semi-unconscious that they are being watched. The day we went was ridiculously humid, which made my mom and I spend a lot of time inside the fish and primate house (since to get there you have to climb up a fairly long hill). For some reason, my mom and I turn into silly little kids whenever we go to the zoo and even though we've seen all the animals before, we still get excited!

The Capybara is the world's largest rodent!

MASSIVE turtles... their heads were close to the same size as mine!

Cute little duck hanging out with the camels.
Various primates.

This fish looks like a mossy rock, can you find his eye and open mouth?

Anemones are poisonous to any other creature except for the clown-fish, which has a symbiotic relationship with the anemones.

These three monkeys were probably my favorite to see through the entire day, just because they were all resting upon each other and napping. If you don't find this adorable, then you don't have a soul...

HOW ADORABLE IS THIS!?

  1. Oh my god. These photos are fucking amazing. You need to submit these to some magazine or something, LOOK AT THE MONKEYS. Dude you made all of these animals look like they're in the wild! LOVE. My fave was the copybara!
